The 2020 bookshelf speakers use the same excellent, low distortion, ferro-fluid cooled, tweeter found in the other speakers in the range. The benefit of this is that the 2020 speakers not only sound great in stereo use but also match up well to form part of a multi-channel surround sound system. To avoid cabinet resonance, the tweeter is isolated from the front baffle and, to further reduce distortion, the 2020’s advanced 25mm micro polyester weave dome is ventilated both on the surround and on the dome itself. This reduces distortion by helping the tweeter maintain mechanical integrity by restricting the range of temperatures it endures.
